The First Hokage (Shodai Hokage), Senju Hashirama
Senju Hashirama, also known as “The first Hokage” or “Shodaime hokage” is one of the legendary Ninja as well as one of the legendary Hokages in the history of Konoha( Hidden village in the leaves). He was one of the founder of the “Konoha” village along with another legendary Ninja of all time “Uchicha Madara”. Senju Hashirama was considered a very powerful Ninja and special due to his unique techniques of “Wood style” known as “Moukton”.
“Wood style” or “Wood Release” or “Moukton Justu” is a special ability commonly known as “Kekkei genkai” in the “Naruto” universe. It is the outcome of mixing “Earth Style” also known as “Doton” and “Water style” also known as “Suiton” and was only possessed by him. This ability allowed him to change his chakra into a source of life creating trees and even entire giant forests. In addition to this he could even manipulate their movements and size as per his requirement and could use the trees to his advantage during battles.
Along with his kekkei genkai of “wood release”, Hashirama also had specialized himself in taijutsu with great physical strength and speed. The Senju clan is populary known for their large chakra reserve meaning they have much more chakra then other clans in the Naruto universe. Hasirama also was a very good genjustu-performer. Also the Naruto universe had shown him proficient with kenjustu and fuinjustu. He is shown carrying large scrolls all over his backs to teleport large weapons using “ Summoning techniques” .
Along with exceptional fighting skill, Hashirama was a brilliant medical ninja as well meaning he could use his chakra to heal injuries and other traumas during battles.
The “Senjus” and “ Uchichas” clans were regarded as the most powerful clans in the “Naruto” universe. So they were frequently engaged in battles among themselves. When one battling side hired “The Senjus” the other battling side would hire “The uchichas” and the recerse was true as well. Tired of fighting and realizing that there was no end to the path of battle, the leader of the “senju” clan Hashirama approached the leader of “The Uchichas” madara and made an agreement. Following that agreement they founded a new village “Konoha” or “Hidden Village in the leaves”. After founding Konoha there was a requirement of the leader for the whole village commonly known as “kage” or “Hokage”.But during voting the people of the Konoha choosed Hashirama over Madara.
The agreement between Hashirama and Madara would made "Uchicha” clan one of the most respected clans in Konoha. But Madara couldnot accept Hashirama as hokage and challenged his rule so a great battle occurred between them. That battle was the fierce battle in the history of the Konoha. Although both of them were rivals they had a lot of respect for each other.It is believed that Hashirama defeated Madara despite of the fact that Madara was too powerful as well aided by his “Mangekiyo sharigan” and “Kyubbi” known as nine tail demon fox which is too powerful”.Madara is believed to be dead in the death valley so both of their statue was carved in that place as a memento.
